BioBiography
Teyla Emmagan is the leader of the Athosian people and a member of Liutenant Colonel John Sheppard's exploration team in Atlantis.
The Athosians are a somewhat primitive race by Earth standards. They lead a nomadic hunter-gatherer way of life, but their lack of technology does not make them less advanced. The Athosians are a proud people with a sophisticated understanding of the life, the universe, and everything, reminiscent of Native American civilizations.
Teyla appears on the island between episodes 2x18, "Michael," and 2x19, "Inferno," while on her way to the Athosian mainland for a tournament.
